The Shunde Coatings Chamber of Commerce was entrusted by the Foshan Municipal Science and Technology Bureau to serve as a bridge to organize a precise docking between the Foshan Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute of Tsinghua University and representatives of coating enterprises. The seminar on the application of enzyme silver catalysis technology in coatings was held on the morning of March 7, 2022, at the governing unit of the Shunde Coatings Chamber of Commerce, Guangdong Shunde Lanya Chemical Co., Ltd.

Participating units include the Exchange Department of Foshan Science and Technology Bureau, Shunde Coatings Chamber of Commerce, Tsinghua University Institute of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University Foshan Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute, etc; Units in the paint industry: Budweiser, Carpoly, Budweiser, and Painters; Ceramic industry unit: Oushennuo Ceramic Central Research Institute; And representatives from Lanya Chemical Company, Microcontrol Biotechnology, etc.

During the meeting, Professor Ge Jun gave a detailed explanation of their team's research results on enzyme silver antibacterial materials, as well as some application results and working mechanisms.

Subsequently, representatives of the enterprise and Professor Ge Jun's team conducted technical exchanges and discussions on specific application aspects. Enterprise representatives raised their concerns about application requirements, including providing toxicological reports, material temperature resistance test data, and discussing the adaptability and effectiveness of coating production, storage, construction application, and antibacterial durability after application.

Mr. Badji Yan proposed to establish a project team through school enterprise cooperation for this project, and the joint participation of coating companies in the meeting can accelerate the testing and demonstration time, while solving common problems in coating applications.

Lin Yongqiang, the person in charge of Foshan Lanya Chemical Co., Ltd., stated that relevant antibacterial and antiviral tests can be conducted in our company's antibacterial biology laboratory. The new bactericide factory, Microcontrol Technology, was also put into operation in the first half of the year, providing high-quality products and free testing services to various coating industries.

Finally, Chief Guo will give a concluding speech: Today's seminar has provided a good understanding and beginning for both schools and enterprises. We hope that both parties can strengthen contact, deepen and accelerate cooperation.
